Obviously I disagree with the reviewers who don't consider this case worth buying. After ~1.5 years, the plastic window finally cracked in the first of these that I bought, so I just bought two more. A 1.5-year lifespan seems more than reasonable to me, given I work out pretty hard, 8-10 hrs per week. The band is always on my arm, whether I'm in the gym working cardio or strength, or outside cycling or running.
Granted, the circumference of the armband is limited to 13.5 inches, so it's not for big arms, or arms that get big while pumping iron. ANd yes, the pocket on the armband fits a Nano quite tightly, at least for awhile, but does go in with cautious encouragement. In fact, I work hard and sweat a lot, so usually take the Nano out after every workout to let it and armband air dry. But after 1.5 years, the Nano still fits, and was not so loose that I had to worry about it falling out while I ran.
Last but not least, I consider the Nano's clickwheel a little finicky all by itself. It took me awhile to get the hang of it. Once I did, however, I had no trouble working the clickwheel under the plastic window on the armband. Maybe it takes a little more pressure, but otherwise it behaves the same, at least for me.
Bottom line: I've worked out with several different mp3 players, and the low-profile Nano in this armband is by far my favorite. If the Nano lasts, I should be good for 3 more years.
