First, the iPod Nano is a difficult little device to open and once you get all the pieces out, you have to be careful not to rip flex cables or break the logic board and lcd screen. Second, the battery is soldered onto the board so you're going to have to have a soldering iron and some skills working with small electronics. The way it's connected is by a little tab at the end of the flex cable. It has three tiny holes in it. On the iPod logic board, you need to remove the solder points on the existing battery connector...some flux ought to do it. Once you see the three pins, it's easy to just place the new connector down and re-solder it. Lastly, you need to ensure that the flex cables are all folded the right way to enable you to put everything back together.
